All roads lead to 2025: What to expect next year!
There comes a time (December) when it's no longer possible to do the math – or make plans. What happened, happened. And what didn't happen? Well, it becomes a "topic for 2025", right? But I don't see it negatively, no.
I believe in optimism of this time of year: the desire to push everything forward is, in fact, an opportunity to make plans and create the future we want. After all, if not now, when?
Little Moments of Joy
It seems that night has turned into day, and with it, Little Moments of Joy have taken over – everywhere. The rise of the term SMOJ (in the original, in English) points to the wave of happenings in unusual spaces, formats and audiences: at the fair, cafeteria, snack bar and even in laundries. Everything, of course, under the sunlight, showing that daytime meetings are gaining strength.
For more moments of joy, then. And if they are small, even better!
The right music for any time
Everyone knows that making playlists is an art. Back when we used to burn CDs, things were more complicated and, therefore, only the most special reasons got a soundtrack. But one Facebook group (yes!) makes every moment – whatever it may be – worthy of soundtrack: to do this, they select and create playlists on Spotify with themes that are, at the very least, curious. It's worth checking out.
The right music for any time
Tuna Everything
The cool thing about music is its power to transcend styles and communicate in so many different ways. In fact, it has become increasingly difficult to understand the limits that define the purity of a musical genre – and that's a good thing, right? In addition to some excellent jokes, I have also seen many initiatives growing stronger precisely based on the mix, including…
- Meeting of technically distant genres, such as the sound of Mãeana
- Line-ups of festivals that seek more originality on stage, like Sweet Wonder
- Explosive return of assemblies, or MTG, who turn anything into funk
- Sound exchanges in projects such as Xande Sings Caetano, Numanice It is Serenade GG
And even the biggest release of the year, BRAT, with a full remix version iconic
Is there life after the algorithm?
Yes, but it takes work, you know. After all, AIs have been in music for longer than you can remember – Spotify’s Discover This Week playlist has been artificially curated and personalized since 2015. Recent artificial technology has been narrowing people’s musical tastes, always revolving around what you listen to frequently – or what sounds like it.
In the opposite direction of this route, MIT indicates the need for active discoveries – those in which the user participates in the search for new music (just like the Incas did, remember? 😂). And, of course, human curation – something that sounds 100% good to the ears of those who follow it Tecla Music's work.
Following the same trend, the waves in this edition delve into the theme:
- O Radioeeee It's a website that eliminates the logic of genres and organizes songs by decades and countries, a trip!
- After the acclaimed series (finally), Senna will now inspire electronic music project
- Daft Punk in theaters is only from 12 to 15/12: I won't lose!
- Shazam has arrived 100 BILLION searches – and the certainty that I contributed a lot to this statistic
- Alligator on the track, dancing? Lacoste establishes himself in music as a sponsor of the Sónar Festival
